2006- Ride #5 23 miles, 102.6 total

Today the temperature spiked into the high 70s, and lo and behold, no rain! So Dad and I took a longer-than-usual route through Carlisle & Concord.

The weather was fabulous, but the Friday afternoon traffic was really bad, even on the tertiary roads. Extremely bad for a motorcyclist who was hit by an SUV along our route–hopefully he’ll be OK. He sure had enough ambulances and fire trucks there to help.

Anyway, we both felt stronger than previous rides, and though we were a bit slower than our shorter rides, it was a great ride and a good workout.
